Hello, I'm Brittany Sayers

I have taught for 5 years and worked with all elementary grade levels, kindergarten through fifth grade. I taught special education for K-5th grade and was a homeroom teacher for second grade as well.

 

During my time as a small group teacher, I found that teaching one on one allowed students more success for understanding and shortly after, I began tutoring with the motivation to fill students gaps in the individual, personal way they need. I’ve had a passion for teaching and connecting with children since I was in middle school. I was involved with vacation bible school at Duluth First United Methodist and went on mission trips with the church for 6 years before heading to college.

 

In high school, I joined a mentorship program to work with elementary school students and I quickly saw my passion is what I wanted to turn into my career. I worked at a daycare center with the elementary students in after school in high school as well. In college, I did a work study program for a nonprofit organization that worked with all ages of special needs and we put on respite events monthly. This is where I found my love for special education! I am motivated to find what works for your child and to teach them strategies that will lead to their success in school! I aim to build confidence as they master skills that were once weaknesses.
